A footballer's peak earning years are compressed into a fraction of a normal career. Money decisions made at 18 can shape the next 50 years of life, and studies have suggested that a large share of professional footballers face financial difficulty within a few years of retirement.
Players typically receive financial advice long before they receive any financial education. Agents, advisers and social pressure fill the gap. The Football Banker exists to close it, before the first contract rather than after it.

Why The Football Banker?
Eno Mwamba, Founder. Eno first recognised the problem while working in wealth management, where he saw high-earning footballers make avoidable financial mistakes without the benefit of meaningful financial education. His experience spans McKinsey & Company, Barclays Wealth Management and a Master of Finance from the University of Cambridge. He also holds a UEFA C Licence and coaches within professional academy environments. His credibility comes from bridging two worlds that rarely meet: institutional finance and elite football.
